One of the strongest weapons the missionaries use against al-Islam is to westernize Muslim youths through education, then send them back to their people to fight their values, culture, and beliefs. It is also the strategy colonizers use. Frantz Fanon in his book the wretched of the earth (Fanon 1963) stated that ‘Every effort is made to bring the colonized person to accept the inferiority of his own culture, which results to the reason behind the pattern of his behavior, and admit to the confused and the imperfect character of his own biological structure’ (Fanon, 1963). A country is granted Independence, but ruled by an Indigene who is a local in body, but a westerner in believes, dressing, and culture. It is also a strategy the Christian missionaries have encouraged for decades. To see all that is western as civilized, while anything from other culture and practices as backward and medieval. ‘They hope to produce a group of people who were only Nigerian in blood but European in thought, habit, and religion’ (Fafunwa, 2018).
